History: Empire's End
The Last Emperor of the Golden Empire and First Emperor of the Golden Dragon Empire Tatsumi the Seventh was born in the year of the Imperial Calendar 1564 to Emperor Isshin II Gildenstrom and Empress Akame Akari Kya-Oarburgh on the 5th of Grand Harvest (Eden's equivalent to October) in the Imperial Palace of Melitine. Born to loving parents and under strong omens as a child of destiny he was given the name of the great Emperors and the First Emperor that being Tatsumi a name that means Sleeping Dragon an apt name for a child of destiny.
Six months after his birth Tatsumi's father decided to go on a grand tour of the Empire but his retinue and procession was ambushed by mercenaries hired by Minister of Security Honest who was possessed by the Arch-Demon Volgoth, Isshin sacrificed his life to allow his wife to escape with their son.
Akame escaped and was rescued by the son of a local villiage elder by the name of Gideon and having no means of returning to the Imperial court and unable to guarantee her son's safety she decided to marry and live with her rescuer in his home village of Karsawa. Tatsumi was raised knowing nothing of his true heritage and raised as a normal citizen of the Empire that was rightfully his. Tatsumi having a hard upbringing and living in a remote village was given an education in all the practical skills needed to survive in the world which he was born in but also was afforded education in things that were not common amongst the lower classes of the Empire including learning how to read and write. He was trained in combat and rose to become a formidable fighter, in terms of occupation he chose to become a blacksmith mainly to eventually be able to court the daughter of the village blacksmith Clemantine. Tatsumi had a number of friends and two love interests whom he intended to marry later on and would in the form of Sayo and Clemantine though other girls in his village were attracted to him. In the Second Summer of the year IC 1581 Clemantine left the village of Karsawa in search of adventure, she asked Tatsumi to accompany her but he could not due to a number of things that kept him in Karsawa.
In Autumn of IC 1582 Tatsumi along with his childhood friends Sayo and Ieyasu would leave Karsawa for the Imperial Capital of Melitine in a quest to lower high taxes placed on the village by Prime Minister Honest and acquire personal wealth and advance in station thru careers in the Imperial military. On the road a brigand attack separated Tatsumi from Sayo and Ieyasu leaving him to go to the capital by himself surviving encounters with danger beasts most notably an Earth Dragon and amassing a small fortune in bounties for killing the creatures Tatsumi arrived in Melitine unmolested and ready to enlist. However his attempts to join the military proved to be fruitless and resulted in him being kicked out of the recruitment office after a request for preferental treatment due to his exceptional combat skills and higher intelligence compared to most recruits.
Shortly after Tatsumi would encounter Leone a young woman about a year older then him who unknown to him at the time was a local con-artist and member of the assassin group Night Raid, Leone would take Tatsumi to a local tavern and proceed to con him out of his hard earned money leaving him with only the clothes on his back, his backpack full of supplies, his sword made for him by Clementine and his family's ancestral bracelet given to him by his adopted Grandfather and his biological mother before leaving Karsawa. Left at a low point and kicked out by the barkeep Tatsumi went to a local park to rest and consider his next move.
During the night Tatsumi was awakened and encountered Aria Grundel the daughter of a respected noble family and his future soulmate, who he explained his current predicament to and she in turn offered him a place to stay taking him into her own home which he accepted. During their short journey to her home Grundewick Manor Tatsumi and Aria would discuss the realities of life in the Empire and Aria would reassure him that he was in safe hands and she would protect him from the dangers of the Capital. Shortly afterword Tatsumi would be reunited with Sayo and Ieyasu who had been likewise found and taken in by Aria after similarly being conned by Leone much to Aria's annoyance he would also meet Aria's parents Constantine and Angela Grundel and given luxurious accommodations and a exceptional dinner. Tatsumi would stay at Grundewick manor and be provided with the job as Aria's bodyguard the following day during this day he would encounter Seryu Ubiqutious the adopted sister of Aria and would hit it off with her and would accompany Aria on a shopping trip during which Aria would buy amongst other things a Ten person carriage, Tatsumi would consider bounty hunting after seeing the wanted posters on a bounty board for members of Night Raid but Aria persuaded him to not do so.
That Evening Tatsumi along with Sayo and Ieyasu would meet Chelsea a member of Night Raid and learn the truth about his hosts that being that Aria was a founding member and current member of Night Raid and that her parents supported the orginization as sponsors, financiers and sources of information. With his plans for a military career wrecked and having no other options other then guard duty at Aria's family mansion Tatsumi along with Sayo and Ieyasu took Chelsea and Aria's offer to join Night Raid and would shortly join the group.
Tatsumi would join Night Raid and the following night take part in his first mission assassinating Captain Ogre a corrupt member of the Capital Police force who had been marked for death by Seryu. Ogre would be the first human being ever slain by Tatsumi and the encounter would effect his personal views on killing going forward. After this mission Tatsumi was made an official member of Night Raid by General Najenda. Within the following week Seryu Ubiquitous would join Night Raid and have an encounter with the escaped convicted murderer Zank the Beheader saving two women from what would have been a grizzly end and making him a priority target for Night Raid. Tatsumi would be part of the team of eight Night Raid assassins that would bring Zank down with Tatsumi's friend Ieyasu and the new recruit Yami being the ones to kill Zank. The following month would see Tatsumi undertake a number of missions including the killing of the Enthusiasts, the elimination of a number of evil and corrupt nobles, and would also see him undergo the Night Raid training program, also during this time Tatsumi would become the target of romantic interests by a number of Night Raid's female members.
Soon after completing his training Tatsumi would on a clandestine operation fall in love with and bed Leone having his first time with Leone and prostitute named Vatima. The following week Tatsumi would also begin a romantic relationship with Najenda and soon after would embark on a mission that would change everything for him and set him on the road to become the most influential person in the Empire. That mission was to protect former Prime Minister Ikamaru Chouri and his daughter Field Marshal Spear from the Three Beasts, during this mission Tatsumi would save Spear's life and kill Nyau in the process. Afterwards Ikamaru offered to marry Tatsumi to his daughter an arrangement both accepted albiet with Tatsumi fainting after realizing what he had agreed to. The following day Tatsumi would undergo training in the ways of the court by Spear and Aria and visit the Imperial Palace for the first time meeting his future wife Grand Marshal Esdeath along with his cousin Emperor Makoto I Gildenstrom in addition to encountering his eternal nemisis Volgoth who had possessed Honest and had risen to the rank of Prime Minister.
The following night a mission alongside Aria would result in an encounter with Dr. Stylish a hard fight that would see Tatsumi's sword break but during which he would acquire his Teigus Smaug: The Dragon Armor and Valruost: Blooddrinker from an alter in the temple they were fighting in, these Teigus had belonged to Tatsumi's ancestor Tatsumi III the Dragon Emperor and using these new weapons Tatsumi would kill Dr Stylish and save Aria's life. After this Aria and Tatsumi's romantic fellings would boil over and Aria would marry Tatsumi the following day alongside Spear. Tatsumi would during the wedding feast be approached by Esdeath and offered to join the Jaegars that she was currently in the process of forming something which Tatsumi had to take under consideration and was invited to participate in her tournament the following week. The following week Tatsumi would both participate in and win Esdeath's Tournament becoming the undisputed champion. Esdeath would take Tatsumi to the Imperial Palace and give him his prize, her undying love and affection which Tatsumi accepted with his own goals in mind to have Esdeath help him change the Empire from within.
The following day Tatsumi would meet Makoto and play a few games with him before engaging in a chess game with Honest which in spite of the Prime Minister's attempts to cheat Tatsumi would win, Makoto would give Tatsumi the newly created position of Minister of Fun with the job of providing new ways to entertain Makoto every day. Tatsumi would soon explain the new changes to the status quo to his allies, family and friends along with informing Najenda of his new plan, he would also encounter Kurome for the first time and soon after join the Jaegers. Tatsumi would also meet the members of the group and engage in a sexual turned romantic relationship with Cosmina one of the members. He would also during this time undergo Jaeger training, spar with Esdeath, and influence the role the Jaegers played turning them functionally into a legitimate daylight version of Night Raid. Soon after Esdeath would reveal that she knew Tatsumi had been part of Night Raid from the start but had refrained from taking any action against him to see exactly what he'd do given his new role with her own intentions of using him as a means to understand the organization. Shortly after Tatsumi would engage in relationships with Suzuka, the twins Meela and Loris, along Chelsea and Sayo growing his harem further. He also during this time would experiance a series of recurring nightmares sent to him by Volgoth that would severely effect his mind and render him incapable of killing women due to the trauma of repeatedly killing Aria in his nightmares.
Following this Champ would arrive in Melitine alongside the Sabatini Show and start a murderous killing spree that would place him directly in Tatsumi's crosshairs. In response to this threat Tatsumi would cause the downfall and destruction of the Capital's largest organized crime organization the Syndicate in a hunt for Champ that proved to find nothing with the help of the Jaegers and the Royal Guard. He also would begin a passionate relationship with Seryu as a result of the mission to take down the Syndicate. The following day Night Raid thru the efforts of multiple members would suceed in locating Champ and discovering his identity as both the Butcher of the Capital but also as the Butcher of Joyou. Tatsumi and Aria would devise a trap and Night Raid would bring Champ down with Aria brutally torturing Champ before Lubbock drew and quartered him with Crosstail. Follo
A series of other missions would follow from this along with Tatsumi marrying Esdeath, Najenda and Sayo with a near death encounter with the corrupt noble Richard Harwick who would have killed Tatsumi without the timely intervention of Aria who would defend her husband and kill Richerd. At the same time Tatsumi added to his harem further with the additions of Dr Dorathea, Mimi, Sheele and Mine with the ultimate addition of Lilianna the daughter of Honest and twin sister of Syura who had previously been killed by Aria. Lilianna's addition to the harem would change the relationship between Tatsumi and the demon possessed Prime Minister elevating Tatsumi from being just another threat to a direct rival and primary target of the Demon possessed Prime Minister who would torment him with a very vicious nightmare which Tatsumi would resist causing a psychic backlash that would injure the demon possessing the minister. Shortly after a series of assassination attempts ordered by Honest were carried out by zealots of the Cult of Valtor none of which suceeded in killing their targets but did cause significant loss of life for normal people. Tatsumi would soon after embark on a campaigna against the rising necromancer threat in the capital adding Naomi sister of Yami to his harem but also having a near-death encounter that resulted in his life being saved by the guardian spirit of his father.
Following this Tatsumi would expand both his influence and his harem adding Akame, Merraid, Taeko, and a number of others to it but also take a serious wound and develop regenarative powers after an encounter with the rogue general Herman Mengele along with battling a cyclops stopping a plot to turn the Path of Peace into a religious menace and would start the formation of his own Imperial reformist faction separate from the Revolutionary Army . He would also take temporary command of the Jaegers in Melitine while Esdeath embarked on a mission to neutralize a force of the Revolutionary Army that had been behind a plot to assassinate Makoto and a number of other high ranking officials. Tatsumi would during this time stop the serial kidnapping and raping spree of Enshin and expand Night Raid membership to include members of the Jaegers along with gaining the officer of Minister for Justice the fourth highest office in the Empire increasing his influence at court. Troubles would continue to mount however as the Cult of Valtor would become more active and demons would soon join their ranks to become an active threat.
The Following months would see Tatsumi advance further and embark on several adventures in addition to marrying more wives along with adopting the orphans Kyoko and Mishi, he would also during this time have his first battle with Volgoth and suffer a nearly mortal injury and was immobilized for a week and left with a scar on his right shoulder. Tatsumi would also encounter the reborn Syura and soon after learn more about the dark past of Eden in an investigation into the Cult of Valtor he would also start a personal quest in search of answers to his mysterious past. A number of events would follow, his harem would increase in size with notable additions including Kurome and a number of high ranking officers in both the Revolutionary Army and Imperial Army. Tatsumi would also recruit the Dark Squad to his cause and expand his influence at court further. Eventually events would result in Tatsumi acquiring Kronos the Mirror of Time along with Makoto along with Fal, Air and Luna being kidnapped, sexually abused and tortured by the Audette sisters whom Tatsumi would punish for their crimes and utterly wipe their memories using Valroust to render them into functionally obediant slaves. Soon Tatsumi would learn the grim truth that Makoto's parents Emperor Yoritomo and Empress Meko had been murdered and cannibalized by Volgoth he would also add the last addition in the capital to his harem that being Doya and oversee the curing of Kurome along with stopping her during a rampage brought about by an adverse reaction to the cure to her drug damaged body by Dorothea.
Tatsumi would soon after prepare a coup to kill Honest and his advisors and restore Makoto's influence at court he would also have an exchange with General Budo who recognized his bracelet would talk about Isshin II and his missing son who was named Tatsumi. In the hours before the Coup Budo would tell Tatsumi his suspicions of Tatsumi actually being the rightful Emperor and give him a box meant for him, Budo's beliefs regarding Tatsumi's true heritage would shortly after be confirmed by Tatsumi using the Mirror of Time discovering his true identity and tragic past, this knowledge left Tatsumi deeply affected and uncertain of his future, but thru the efforts of his wives and lovers Tatsumi was able to find new purpose, he would also soon after reveal the truth to Makoto and Makoto's sisters Lin and Koko regarding his identity and Makoto would give his cousin his rightful title. The coup would be carried out with partial sucess but Volgoth would survive and complete his take over of Honest's body along with its transmutation into demonic form along with being empowered by Valtor and with demonic forces launch a counter coup that saw the end of the Empire, Tatsumi along with his allies, his cousins and a number of others would avoid certain death thru the heroic sacrifice of General Budo along with Rakshasas Ibara and Sten and escape to Grundewick manor where an ancient shield was activated to protect a good portion of the city.
Tatsumi would soon after embark on a new journey to restore his Empire and create a grand alliance to stop the Demonic invasion, he would embrace his title of Emperor and grant himself the ephitet of Golden Dragon Emperor he would soon after evacuate Karsawa and gather a large force of loyalists and relocate the capital to Tokorra in the Matahai Mountains embracing Tatsumi's Oarburgh heritage and adding the support of the Path of Peace and the Oarburgh Clan to his gathering power, he would also learn everything his mother knew about his past and reconcile with her regarding the lies she had told to protect him thru his life. Tatsumi would soon after head to Zarteck and reveal the truth to the Revolutionary Army causing the majority of its members to join their rightful Emperor while a radical minority led by Boreth Falkland with a desire to end the monarch and establish a communist regime would take up arms against him and start the Idiot's War, a conflict between the newly founded Golden Dragon Empire and the Revolutionary Army which would end with Falkland's death and the utter annihilation of the Revolutionary army at the battle of Mount Yo'ash.
Following this Tatsumi would go east and recruit the Eastern Kingdoms to his cause and form an alliance with the Nova Atlantean Commonwealth, he also would survive an assassination attempt by two Arch-Devil generals sent by Volgoth to kill him, and do battle alongside the Atlanteans against a grand demonic army led by the Arch-Devil general Xana he would also embark on a campaign of destroying the ruined blackstone cities of Ancient Yeenkar to weaken Volgoth and destroy nexi to prevent the Demon invasion from growing larger. Tatsumi would later head for the Empire's Northern Provinces and bring them onside along with marrying Nancy the bastard daughter of Volgoth possessed Honest, he would soon after ally the Giants and the Northern Dwarves and slay the last Tyrant in a heroic battle liberating a fallen Dwarven Hold in the process along with destroying the last hostile northern tribes in a grand battle that also destroyed another major nexus. Tatsumi would soon after in the ruins of Putra encounter and join up with the Dwarven Princess Engineer and research Umber Goldenbeard and find the Emperor's armoury in the tomb of the Dragon Empire and embark on a pursuit of Bellock who had captured Dwarni one of Umber's expedition members. This would lead to him intergrating a number of warlords into his army and lead him to the clash with the False Emperor Amin Bokassa whom Tatsumi would kill in single combat and rescue Dwarni from the dungeons of. Tatsumi would embark further south and secure the southernmost provinces of the Empire and wiping the last of the demon worshipping hostile southern tribes along with razing the acurssed city of Yeen, he also took another severe injury in a fight against the Arch-Devil General Alastor who would be banished back to hell by Najenda blowing his head off with Desert Eagle round.
Tatsumi would then head to the Western Kingdoms, pacify the Borderlands, ally a number of Western Kingdoms and further destroy the ruins and cults associated with Valtor and Volgoth as the demon threat expanded in size and scope, Tatsumi was also given a deadline of a month before Volgoth would begin mass slaughtering of Imperial citizens being held as hostages along with attacking cities that had so far been spared the demons wrath. Tatsumi would soon after arrive at Karak Hammerdeep and undertake a series of three great tasks to right three great grudges in order to restore the Pact of Gold with the Dwarves which had been broken by Tatsumi's ancestor Caligula the Mad Emperor, these tasks would see him destroy a great Skaven Kingdom, defeat the rogue AI Kaine and see him do battle and slay the three headed Golden Dragon Glaurodrost the largest and most terrifying Dragon to ever sour Eden's skies with Tatsumi using a soul needle to drain the soul from the Dragon's body. The Pact of Gold would be restored and the Dwarves would forge for Tatsumi three powerful Teigus: Glaurang: the Golden Dragon crown, Michael: The Sword of God and Enoch: Shield of Light alongside a number of other new Imperial arms given to Tatsumi and his allies. Soon after Tatsumi would lead the Grand Alliance of Order to Melitine for a grand decisive battle to save the world, an army numbering in the millions from all over Eden would do battle against the hosts of Hell itself, Tatsumi would battle Volgoth and after three seperate battles with the Arch-Demon Lord finally slay the demon avenging his father and saving his Empire taking another set of life-threatening injuries and being sent into a coma. During this Tatsumi had an out of body experience and met the Goddess of Eden Asha and was able to learn the truth of many things along with being able to finally say goodbye to his father and many others who had died from Volgoth now at peace and able to enter Elysium. Soon after Tatsumi would recover and be official crowned as Emperor Tatsumi VII Gildenstrom of a restored Empire and was given the title of Savior of Eden and became officially the Golden Dragon Empire leading his New Empire and Eden into a new age.
